D89 Students Shine at PMSA Math Competition

On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, a team of twelve talented 6th- to 8th-grade students from Irving Middle School, Stevenson Middle School, and Washington Dual Language Academy proudly represented District 89 at the 12th annual Proviso Math and Science Academy (PMSA) Math Competition. This event brought together young scholars from approximately ten different schools across the Proviso Township, all competing in individual, team, and joint events. Led by Jennifer Kissane (Irving), Steven Jarvis (WDLA), and Andrew Bedolla (Stevenson), the D89 team demonstrated remarkable skill, perseverance, and collaboration, exemplifying D89’s mission to “empowers, educates and inspires each student to achieve personal excellence in a multicutural society.”
